I'll search the casinos for letterboxes! Would be more fruitful than clunking coins in the slots! But, you'll probably get arrested by casino staff for planting suspect material on the casino floor!
I was going to plant boxes in Nevada this summer but maybe you'll beat me to it! The more the merrier, they say. Nevada's a big state.

Hey all. THis is my first day on this list. I am in NC, and travel somewhat in
this state. Also have a son at the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, and I
drive there periodically. I'm wondering if there are any letterboxes to be
FOUND in these areas, and was hoping to get some pointers about
planting" some letter boxes as I travel (we also have a Harley, and I think it
would be fun to travel to side roads of the state in the summer, leaving
letterboxes in my wake). So give me some good examples of places to leave the
boxes, and how to leave clues.

welcome Lynn!
I like your handle "stamperhog". Very appropriate with your mode of
transportation!

Hi Lynn,
What area of NC are you in? I am in the Raleigh area. I keep
wanting to get a letterbox out but have other things going on
in my life now. Hmmm....I think "sometime in 1999" might be a
goal. But, if I knew someone was nearby wanting to find a box
and put others out, it might hurry me along some.
I am a complete amateur at this, so it will be my very first
letterbox.

Hey Tammy. I'm in Greensboro, and I'm new to this too. I am REALLY a rubber-
stamper, and this is sort of an extention of that sickness, LOL. I think it
would be fun to hide a few boxes around the state, and I travel in my job
about 2 hours in every direction from Greensboro. So I can "plant" in
Sanford, Pinehurst, Asheboro, W-S, Elkin, the Blue Ridge, etc. Also, my mom
live in Myrtle Beach, so we can do one there too.
We have a Harley, and ride a bit almost every weekend when the weather is
good. I have visions of setting out with a letter box every at least once a
month, riding to a neat-o place and planting it, and then mapping it out. At
that rate, we'd have several in the area by the end of summer. My sweetie
(who is the DRIVER of the Harley, and an avid outdoors-person) would be
responsible for the mapping part, as I am not too goood with a compass, LOL.
Also, I am not toooo far from the Va line, so maybe one of our trips can
venture there, and take care of that state, too.
But, as I said, I am new, and I might be biting off more that I can chew.
Maybe this is more complicated than it looks.... ya think?????
